This coming summer, the 11th edition of the Oosterpark Picnic Concerts will take place in the Oosterpark bandstand. On Sunday, June 21, Sunday, July 12, and Sunday, August 9, the concerts will present three different quartets, each performing its own musical program.
The Oosterpark Picnic Concerts have grown into a beloved summer tradition, where visitors can enjoy accessible live music in a relaxed and green setting.
Children's music workshops and children's concerts
This year, too, free children's music workshops will be organized on every concert Sunday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Under the guidance of professional teachers, children can be introduced to music and try out various instruments.
Additionally, children's concerts will take place from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. These are open to children who would like to give a musical performance themselves. You can register to participate via the website: http://oosterparkpicknickconcerten.com/

12:30 pm - KLIF STRIJKKWARTET - FEMALE HEROES
KLIF is the magic cauldron where violinists Diet Tilanus, Svenja Staats, violist Liselot Blomaard, and cellist Örs Kőszeghy (A’dam Sinfoniëtta) play female composers from Romantic to contemporary.

12:30 pm - CELLO BIËNNALE KWARTET (zie foto hieronder)
Four virtuoso prize winners of the National Cello Competition: Stefano Bruno, Isaac Lottman, Florianne Remme, and Jobine Siekman perform diverse arrangements of works by J. des Pres, S. Rachmaninoff, and K. Wilkomirski, ranging from Renaissance and Romantic to contemporary.
SUNDAY 9 AUGUST
12:30 PM - FRANK BRIDGE PIANOKWARTET - YOUNG HEROES
The Frank Bridge Piano Quartet, Giles Francis, violin, Mara Tieles Cutie, viola, Florien Hamer, cello, and Hans van Beelen, piano, performs Brahms' 2nd Piano Quartet in A major, Op. 26, which he wrote at the age of 29 under the strong influence of Schubert.
