What an enchanting afternoon in Oosterpark! On May 25, the Music Pavilion became the setting for a special edition of Heel Amsterdam Danst, in honor of the 750th anniversary of our capital city. Under a radiant spring sun, neighborhood residents, casual park visitors, and dance enthusiasts gathered around the open-air stage to enjoy a sparkling dance performance together—free and open to everyone.
The highlight was a unique performance of the contemporary ballet production In C, with the skilled and talented dancers from the Junior Company van Het Nationale Ballet. A powerful example of how art and community can go hand in hand.
In addition, there were performances by De Kids van Amsterdam who moved the audience with energy, diversity, and expression.
With this performance, Heel Amsterdam Danst brought not only dance to the people, but also got people moving—both literally and figuratively. For a moment, Oosterpark became a stage of connection, creativity, and celebration.
