From Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13, Oosterpark once again transformed into one big, lively campsite during De Buurtcamping 2025The campsite was completely full this year: 83 tents, over 200 campers, and an enthusiastic team of around twenty volunteers together created a mini-vacation in their own neighborhood.
For three summer days, the park was in holiday mode—with hut building, hula hoops, marshmallows over the fire, music from Oost Rulesa circular meal, and even a bat-watching tour. Whether you came for a night under the stars or just for a cup of coffee and a good conversation, everyone was welcome. No tent? No problem. No neighbors? You’d make them here automatically.
A highlight was the camping quiz on Saturday evening: no fewer than 18 teams participated! The central tent was packed, and the atmosphere was lively. The closing Bingo on Sunday filled the tent to capacity and resulted in a joyful line of winners.
With the fun prizes, made possible by local organizations and businesses, the event gained an extra special touch. Thanks to everyone for their support, enthusiasm, and generous contributions—and of course to all the volunteers who made this unforgettable weekend possible.
For three days, Oosterpark became a place of connection, fun, and relaxed encounters—exactly what The Neighborhood Camping stands for. 🏕️🌳✨
